RUDD — Classic cars, motorcycles, food and family-friendly activities will return to downtown Rudd this fall as the community hosts the fourth annual Rudd's Car and Motorcycle Show on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The event, held in conjunction with Rudd Fun Days, will take place on Main Street and is expected to attract vehicle enthusiasts and families from across Floyd County and surrounding communities.

The Nora Springs Public Library will offer a hands-on greeting card-making class on Thursday, July 30, with sessions available at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Participants will join instructors Char and Becky to learn a variety of greeting card techniques while creating five handmade cards to take home. All materials will be provided.

FLOYD COUNTY — The Floyd County Sheriff's Office has added a new deputy and K-9 team to its ranks.

CHARLES CITY — Marble Rock native Zach Chambers has joined First Security as a credit analyst.

In his new role, Chambers will analyze financial statements and prepare loan presentations to assist in evaluating the financial condition of current and prospective borrowers.

FLOYD COUNTY — The Floyd County Auditor's Office is accepting applications for a part-time clerk position.

According to the county, the position will provide clerical and administrative support to the auditor's office and assist with daily office operations.

The Rockford Lady Warriors softball team took a break from the summer grind to enjoy an afternoon at the Rockwell Aquatic Center. Players traded the softball field for the pool, spending time swimming, relaxing and enjoying each other's company as the season continues. The outing provided an opportunity for the team to recharge and strengthen team bonds away from practices and games.

NORA SPRINGS — Residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous materials during a free collection event scheduled for Monday, June 22.

The Landfill of North Iowa's Household Hazardous Materials Mobile Collection Trailer will be in Nora Springs from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the City Shed, located at 935 W. Congress St.
