Lisa Friesen, executive director, and Lisa Jensen, nurse manager and West Union site director, attended the Knights of Columbus Travel Gavel event in Greene on June 16, where they accepted a generous gift on behalf of the organization.
The Floyd County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday were introduced to the new Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Floyd County Director. “My name is Kailey Einspahr, and I am the new county director for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for here in Floyd County,” she said. “So, I just started on May 4th, so almost two months that I've been here.”
Visitors at the city celebration had a chance to step back in time as the Nora Springs Historical Society opened its exhibit to display the community’s past. Historical Society member Mike Shanks greeted guests and shared stories about early Nora Springs, explaining how the organization works to preserve local history for future generations.
