Two sign to NIACC cheer

McKenna Kelley took first in the 3000 meters, and Zaila Dahlstrom won the discus as the Central Springs girls track and field team finished fourth in the team standings at the Panther Relays on May 11.
Kelley won the 3000 meters in a time of 13:00.33 and Dahlstrom’s throw of 116-07 was the best in the discus with teammate Adylyn Peterson coming in right behind with a second place throw of 109-02.

BRITT – Gabby Jansen finished second in the high jump and third in the 100-meter dash and Adylyn Peterson placed third in the shot put and discus to highlight the individual performances for Central Springs in the Eagle Relays at West Hancock on May 4.

For Hannah and Harper Hillman, they were two of the leaders for the Warriors at a pair of track meets held last week. 
Last Monday both the Rockford track and field teams were running at the Nashua-Plainsfield meet. The boys finished
On the girls side of things the Warriors were seventh overall with 37 points. 
For the girls some of the top results included: 

For the Lindsay family of golfers, they proved to lead their teammates in a busy week for the Central Springs golf teams. 
The Central Springs boys golfers started their week last week with a second place finish in a triangular against West Fork and North Butler. The Panthers had 185 strokes. West Fork won with 170 strokes. 

WATERLOO - He would need just 99 shots to complete the challenging course. 
On May 6 the Rockford boys golf team competed at the Iowa Star Conference tournament in Waterloo. Don Bosco won the conference tournament with 336 total strokes. Rockford did not have enough golfers to record a team score. 

All in all, it was a successful Thursday for the Panthers. 
Running at the Top of Iowa Conference meet on May 7 the Central Springs boys team finished fourth overall with 71 total points. Osage won the meet with 136 points. 
In the girls team race the Panthers were seventh with 33 points. Saint Ansgar won the meet with 158 total points. 

Waterloo - It being her last chance to shine at the conference meet, she didn't seem to hold anything back. 
Powered by the leadership of Rockford senior, Danika DeBuhr, the Warriors were able to climb the leaderboard and finish third overall at the Iowa Star Conference meet held on May 6 at the Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo. 

CHARLES CITY - Sophomore Sheamus Lindsay was one of the stars on the golf course this week for Central Springs. 
The Panther boys golfers only competed in one meet, golfing at Charles City last week. There, they were led by the sophomore who shot a round of 43, to finish third overall. He was one stroke behind the second place finisher and five strokes away from the overall leader. 

ROCKFORD — RRMR senior Hannah Hillman is taking her volleyball career to the next level.
The RRMR School District announced this week that Hillman has officially signed to play volleyball at North Iowa Area Community College, giving local fans a nearby opportunity to continue following her athletic journey this fall.

It was a short, but successful week for the Central Springs track teams last week. Both teams only ran in one meet, but both teams had success. 
The Panthers ran at Dike-New Hartford on April 30, where they were able to pick up three wins. Those wins helped the Panthers finish fifth overall with 71 points. Dike-New Hartford won the meet with 165 points. 

Danika deBuhr is making the most out of her final high school golf season. 
Recently, the senior has led the Warriors at several of their meets. 
She led all the golfers at the Clarksville Co-Ed meet last week where she was able to shoot a 49, two strokes better than Capri Clark, the Clarksville junior, who finished as the runner-up medalist. 

Friday night the Rockford girls track team ran at North Butler where they were able to place ninth overall with 21 points. Saint Ansgar won the meet.
Harper Hillman proved to be a tough runner for the Warriors at the meet with a couple of top-5 finishes. 

The RRMR Booster Club is extending its appreciation following a successful sports banquet that brought together athletes, families and community members in a show of support for local programs.
Organizers said the event saw a strong turnout, highlighting the continued enthusiasm surrounding RRMR athletics and the community’s commitment to celebrating student-athletes.

Central Springs senior Braydin Crum turned in a strong performance at one of Iowa’s most prestigious prep track and field events last weekend, placing 10th in the boys long jump at the 116th Drake Relays in Des Moines.
